ATM availability depends on the complete communications path—not only the terminal. Through our partnership with Ascent Technical Services LLC, broader networking, cybersecurity, wireless and communications expertise is readily available when a deployment or service problem requires it.
Where monitoring is included in the program, modern diagnostics can identify many terminal and connectivity problems before they become a prolonged outage—or before the host realizes the machine is unavailable.
Dedicated cellular
Keep the ATM independent from the host network when isolation, coverage or deployment simplicity makes cellular the better choice.
Secure host internet
When the venue’s existing internet is the practical choice, ATM-related systems are separated from guest Wi-Fi and unrelated business traffic by a modern firewall and appropriate network segmentation.
Multi-WAN and failover
Primary and backup internet connections can reduce downtime when availability requirements justify a more resilient design.
Whole-path troubleshooting
We can troubleshoot the ATM, modem, firewall, switch, cabling, ISP connection, DNS and processor communications instead of stopping at the cabinet.
Connectivity is selected around availability, cellular coverage, security, reliability, installation complexity and operating cost. Cellular service adds a monthly expense; a properly secured host connection can be more economical when the venue already has dependable internet.
ATM COMPLIANCE & SECURITY
Security and compliance are part of the equipment plan.
ATM Apex puts security and PCI readiness first. We evaluate the terminal model, mainboard, EPP, software, processor requirements, communications, physical controls, EMV, ADA and TR-31/X9.143 readiness before recommending an upgrade or replacement path. Upgrade support is available for Triton, Genmega and Hyosung equipment where the installed platform has a manufacturer- and processor-supported path.
